BUILT ON EXPERIENCE
GROUNDED IN CENTRAL IL
EDH, Inc Excavating and Construction Services was founded by a lifelong Central Illinois resident with more than 35 years experience living and working in the region. A U.S. Army Veteran and Caterpillar Inc. Engineer, our founder brings technical expertise, leadership and a deep sense of duty to every job. With a background in engineering and construction services dating back to 1990, his vision has always been to build a company that not only possesses the skills and reliability, but also a valuable resource supporting the community.
Our founder along with his wife and three boys created the Day of the Dozer event in Elk River, MN in 2012 that benefits the Children’s Hospital of Minnesota Oncology Center (Please add the link to Children’s Hosp)as a way to give back to the community which was derived by their support for the Easter Seals – Timber Pointe Outdoor Center in Hudson, IL. The Day of the Dozer event is a fun family event that allows for children to experience operating a large piece of construction equipment while educating the families about the construction industry all while raising funds for the Children’s Hospital of MN. We are grateful to have been able to partner with the Minnesota Underground Utility Contractors Association (MUCA) who has taken this family event to remarkable levels in the years that followed our departure from the MNLPS area.
Partnering along side Carri Scharf Materials and Trucking, and Harold McKinney Excavating, EDH Excavating and Construction Services has grown into a reputable and respected name in the industry. Together they bring the hands on experience and decades of wisdom, resources and local knowledge to every project.
